UT is a Serious Research Institution.

Everyone has to have a line beyond which things cannot be tolerated. For me, this is Ayn Rand. I hate Ayn Rand's writing, I hate everyone who likes Ayn Rand's writing (usually this is coextensive with being a shmarmy Ron-Paul, supporting, palm sweating douche bag) and I especially hate anyone that considers her "philosophy" to be other than a bunch of half-baked horseshit. That said, the UT Philosophy department decided that it would be a good idea to have an ENDOWED CHAIR TO STUDY THIS SHIT. This is a department for whom Nietzsche is beyond the pale, Hegel is batshit crazy and Deleuze probably had syphilis. John Rawls, however, is the mack. Fuck this.
